Animal Prospekt

During one of my investigations at a slaughterhouse, documenting the terrible annual massacre of young lambs for their meat, all the animals were packed in the holding pen, waiting to be killed the following day. This often happens in slaughterhouses when there are too many animals to be processed. I was documenting what was happening in that place (now closed down) and decided, with my team, that it was the right time.

We managed to save two of them, based on our capacity to transport them and find them shelter. They received care and a new life, unlike the millions of animals still waiting for theirs. Timo and Zenzero are ambassadors for them: an example of the deep meaning of the word "freedom" and a strong reminder for myself to keep fighting over the years in the projects I am currently pursuing with the network Food For Profit and a new organization called Unlocked.

Through all these years, I am still investigating, still documenting, and still rescuing, for as long as I can.
